Creased no. 2

Creased no. 2 is a unique medium size contemporary modern abstract geometric wall sculpture painting by Dutch visual artist Mo Cornelisse. This wall object is made of a pure white painted composite on a canvas base with a hand mounted gold leaf finish on all four sides, surrounding the work with a halo-like reflection on the wall. For this new series the artist has moved away from her often used porcelain sculpting material whilst wanting to keep the look similar to this. By creating a creased, almost paper-like surface she confuses the observer: is it porcelain, paper or a material of a different nature?
