Monday blues

Monday blues is a unique contemporary modern wall object by British artist Kate Brett. This one of a kind object consists of 144 handmade unglazed porcelain elements mounted in a hand painted matt black frame with a white raised edge. At the rear of the frame there is a straight bar with which the work can be hung level on the wall. Most images on the porcelain elements are transfer printed details of photos taken by the artist herself, complemented with various other techniques such as painting and drawing. The firing of the porcelain is done after, permanently fixating the graphic images. In any space, private or business, her works are true eye-catchers and conversation pieces!
