8 triangulairs to squares XIII is one of a series of unique one-of-a-kind small size contemporary modern painting reliefs by Dutch artist Eef de Graaf. The relief is made from meticulously hand cut cardboard elements finished with a matt white acrylic paint. This art work is mounted in a simple white frame complementing the relief and by specific choice of the artist without glass which would intervene too much with the delicate play of light and shadow of this piece. Changing ambient light (morning sun, cloudy sky) causes changes in the intensity of the relief. Furthermore, different viewing angles result in different relief patterns.
